From Joyo:

JOYO JF-322 Wow Wah - Auto Wah The Wow-Wah is an auto-Wah with a wide range of sounds. It is extremely dynamic and great to kick in some very versatile funk at your fingertips.

With its 4 controls (Sensitivity, Bias, Resonance and Decay) you have your personal sound at your fingertips.

The Wow Wah is one of the most versatile Auto Wah’s on the market today. Whether you use it in the traditional way for some really syncopated ‘funk’ style rhythms that just aren’t achievable with a conventional Wah. Or if you use it to sound like a traditional Wah so you don’t have to worry about manually operating one then the Wow Wah has you covered.

Once you’ve spent five minutes with the pedal you’ll be able to dial in different tones in no time at all. Although the controls appear a bit confusing at first they quickly start to make sense. If you’ve got different types of guitars with different pickups then the Wow Wah can easily be adjusted in seconds to accommodate. From a subtle, slightly moving rhythm setting to an all-out Wah fest for a solo, it’s there!

Thanks to its four controls it means you can use the Wow Wah to get the same tone as a ‘cocked’ Wah used by hundreds of famous musicians over the years, from Mick Ronson to Jimmy Page to Michael Schenker to Slash to name just a few. This is something not all Auto Wah’s can do. A ‘cocked’ wah tone is when you use your conventional wah pedal, but, rather than using it conventionally by rocking it up and down you keep your foot at one point and leave it there. This makes the Wah then act essentially as a fixed frequency filter, helping to make your playing really stand out. With the Wow Wah you can achieve this without having to mess around trying to find the ‘sweet spot’ when you’re playing live with your traditional wah!

This is where the ‘Knob Guard’ comes into its own on a pedal such as the Wow Wah. Once you’ve spent the time dialling it in to get that perfect sound you want the controls to stay the same and not move at all. Flip the ‘Knob Guard’ down and you’re settings are protected, they won’t be knocked and moved in your gig bag or by the foam in your pedalboard, and they’ll be exactly the same as when you set them!

Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten you low end thumpers out there. Bass is somewhere where you may hear an Auto Wah more frequently than on a regular six string guitar, so rest assured the Wow Wah works just as well on bass as it does on guitar. Set it to make your solo sound extra cool or use it to make your slap lines really pop or just always leave it on, you won’t be disappointed.
