This matched set of two traditionally constructed humbuckers and a battery-powered Blackouts dual preamp was created for Gus G., who wanted the power of high output active pickups without sacrificing the hair-trigger response of his favorite Seymour Duncan passive pickups.

This system combines the massive tone, kick, and distortion of Blackouts with the rich tone and expressive feel of my favorite passive pickups, says Gus. It responds perfectly to all my picking techniques, and more of my personality comes through than with any active pickup I’ve tried.

Includes two humbuckers and a high-output, low-noise Blackouts dual preamp that replaces one of your volume pots. Uses a bare-wire lockdown system so that no soldering is required when replacing active pickups. Includes three 25K potentiometers for players migrating from a passive setup, plus all necessary hardware.
