The tone of the acoustic guitar sometimes gives you some comfort, and sometimes it gives off intense emotions. The appeal of “Unplugged” has made the global guitarist leap further, and the Roaring Grunge Rock Band has made a further legend in “Unplugged”. Acoustic guitars can not be separated, not to mention classics and forks, as well as rock guitarists.
Animals Pedal Firewood Acoustic DI is an active DI pedal for electric and acoustic guitars that works great on live stages and recordings. It is made of analog and discrete circuits, and it outputs to mixers and amplifiers without losing delicate expressions. It is a simple and compact pedal, but it has various functions. With a powerful 3-band active equalizer that can adjust the tone to match the characteristics of the music, venue, guitar or power amplifier, and can be turned on / off with the foot switch, it has a warm, balanced tone like a classic nylon string, Create a variety of acoustic sounds including shrill and glittering tones that accentuate the vocals in an ensemble. The three equalizers of High, Mid and Low adjust the tone strongly in the range of ± 15 dB around 3.5 kHz, 800 Hz and 180 Hz respectively. As well as making sound, it is effective as a control that cuts unnecessary bands and suppresses feedback. Light saturating GAIN controls add crisp power and presence to the sound. It has an effect loop, and when using it as an acoustic guitar or as a boost pedal, you can also apply effects such as chorus and delay at the same time.
Moreover, it carries the balance out of the XLR terminal which can output a guitar directly to a mixer. It is also possible to drive with phantom power. Power can be supplied from mixers, etc., even at venues that lack electrical outlets, such as outdoor stages.
Moreover, when it drives with an adapter, it carries DC out which can supply power to the pedal of an effect loop etc., and shows power in various systems.
The Firewood Acoustic DI is not just a pedal that is simply functional. The sound of the high headroom and the circuit of attention outputs the tone of the guitar itself clearly. It is possible to daringly make a stiff "leako sound" as a pakipaki, but it is possible to clearly output the tones unique to acoustic guitars with more warmth and depth. Even on the live stage, the tone is made similar to the microphone recording in the studio.
Controls
LEVEL: Adjusts the overall volume.
LOW: Adjusts the low range in the range of ± 15 dB around 180 Hz.
MID: Adjust the midrange in the range of ± 15 dB around 800 Hz.
HIGH: Adjusts the high range in the range of ± 15 dB around 3.5 kHz.
GAIN: Adjusts the output level and controls the overall saturation of the tone. It can also be lightly distorted.
INVERT: Inverts the phase.
Footswitch: bypasses the EQ.
Input / output terminal
DC9VIN: Connect a standard center minus DC9V adapter.
DC9VOUT: Provides external power supply when driven by an adapter.
IN: It is an input. Connect the cable on the instrument side.
LOOP: Effect loop. R (RETURN) connects the cable from the output of the effect in the loop to the input of the effect in the loop from S (SEND). The effects loop is always active.
UNBAL: It is unbalanced out. Connect the cable to the guitar amplifier etc.
BAL / 48V: Balanced out of the XLR terminal. Used when connecting to a mixer etc. Also, when using phantom power, it is supplied from here. The Phantom LED lights up when phantom power is supplied.
