This is a new guitar, not a factory 2nd.  It is not uncommon for new instruemnts to have minor finish flaws.  This guitar has a small surface scratch on the back of the neck.  The flat black finish on the back of this guitar is typical of most satin black guitars in that it does mark up or gets glossy with use.  The scratch will almost certianly, blend in after the guitar is played.

Alex Wade is one of the three-guitar brigade that makes up Tennessee-based deathcore band Whitechapel, and his LTD Signature Series guitar needed some special attributes to handle the intensity of his band's playing style. The LTD AW-7B is a seven-string baritone guitar, with neck-thru-body construction at 26.5" scale. It is built on a dense swamp ash body, with a fast thin U-shaped three-piece maple neck and an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets. The AW-7B's sound is generated with a set of DiMarzio D-activator 7 pickups, allowing the individual notes of each chord to maintain their own character and clarity. It is finished in a translucent Padauk Brown Satin finish so its naturally figured wood grain shows through.
