The factory certified 2nd has an identifying "2" stamped on the back. These guitars were found to have minor cosmetic blemishes that kept them from being offered as first quality. Anything noteworthy will be pictured. They may have light scratches that don't show up in photos and are even hard to see without light reflection. Similar designations from other companies are B Stock or Scratch & Dent. The blemishes do not affect playability or structural integrity of the instrument. The guitars are set up and ready to play by ESP. They come with a 90 day warranty from ESP. These guitars have never been broken/repaired or have any playability issues or electronics issues if applicable.

The EC-257 features a set of acclaimed ESP Designed LH-150 pickups, with a push-pull coil tap on the tone knob, and a TOM bridge and tailpiece. The EC-258, outfitted with a hardtail LTD fixed bridge, includes ESP Designed LH-308 pickups for this 8-string guitar that goes all the way down to F# in standard tuning. Both guitars offer comfortable mahogany bodies, three-piece mahogany necks, and roasted jatoba fingerboards with 22 extra-jumbo frets. Both are available in Black Satin finish.
