Used with wear associated with use. Any noteworthy blemishes or issues will be described and pictured. Works as it should.

The Fender Vibratone is a passive rotating speaker cabinet produced from 1967 to 1972.

This one is in very good operational condition. Fair cosmetic condition. It is missing some corners and the vent covers on the sides. The baffle was broken at the thin spot near the bottom of the cab and repaired with a metal strip. The footswitch is not original, but it is wired to control the speed and bypass of the speaker with a long 25' attached cable. No connectors have been modified. Speaker appears to be from the general time period, but uncertain if it is original to the cabinet. Motor runs fine. Styrofoam is perfect.

Key Features

Design: A rebranded Leslie Model 16 housed in a Fender Tolex-covered cabinet.

No Built-in Amp: It is not an amplifier; it requires an external driver amplifier to power its internal 10-inch, 4-ohm speaker.

Rotating Styrofoam Rotor: Instead of a spinning speaker or horn, it uses a curved styrofoam baffle that rotates in front of a stationary speaker to deflect sound waves.

Doppler Effect: The rotation creates a 3D modulation effect that blends chorus, vibrato, and tremolo.

Two Speeds: Controlled via a two-button footswitch to toggle between chorale (slow) at roughly 40 RPM and tremolo (fast) at roughly 340 RPM.
