The 1648RT Saturn Reverb MkII amplifier is a future-retro amplifier designed for the working player who needs a lightweight, vintage-flavored amp with world-class tube reverb. This 25-Watt, Class-A 1×12 luxury combo is powered by a pair of 6V6 tubes giving you the ultimate in tactile response and signature Supro breakup at manageable gigging volume.
SATURN REVERB
The Saturn Reverb’s amazingly low noise floor makes this amp perfect for players who prefer to crank the amp and use the guitar’s volume knob to control texture and dynamics. Independent Treble and Bass controls allow the musician to fine tune the frequency response of the preamp to accommodate a wide range of pickups and varied stage environments.
The Saturn Reverb’s blue rhino hide tolex, vintage-correct cabinetry and fundamental circuit topology are all drawn from the original Supro Reverb combos of the mid 60’s. Like its ancestors, the new Saturn Reverb’s power-tube tremolo comes after the reverb pan, lending an ethereal shake and wobble to the enveloping wash of tube-driven spring reverb. The Supro Saturn Reverb’s 3-spring, 8” long reverb pan and all-tube reverb drive and recovery stages provide warm and smooth ‘verb that “surrounds the note” without getting in the way, even when the amplifier is cranked all the way up for maximum grind.
Features:
Front Panel
IN
Instrument input for the amplifier.
VOL
Controls the volume level of the amplifier.
TREB
Controls the amount of treble frequencies.
BASS
Controls the amount of bass frequencies.

STANDBY SWITCH
This turns on the high voltage to the tubes. The tubes should warm up for at least one minute before
turning standby switch to OPERATE. Be sure that the Volume control is set to a reasonable position
before switching the amp to OPERATE as this amp can be very loud! For short breaks (5 minutes or
less), using the standby switch will increase tube life.
PILOT LIGHT
This shows that AC Mains voltage is powering the amplifier.
POWER SWITCH
Turns on AC power to the amp. The Power switch should be turned on, and the pilot light should be
lit for 1 minute before turning the standby switch to OPERATE.
Rear Panel
SPKR
Speaker output for the amplifier. Maximum output is 24 Watts into 8 Ohms.
TREMOLO/REVERB FTSW
Allows remote shutoff of the tremolo and reverb effects via latching footswitch, using a 1/4
00 TRS cable. You can also use a Single Footswitch with a 1/4 TS cable to control either the reverb or
the tremolo. With the cable pushed in all the way, the footswitch will allow remote shutoff of the
Reverb only and the Tremolo will ALWAYS be Off. With the cable pushed in half way, the Reverb will
ALWAYS be On and the footswitch will allow remote shutoff of the Tremolo only.
IEC POWER CORD RECEPTACLE / Fuse holder
The power cord connects here and to your country’s appropriate wall outlet. Make sure to connect
the male end of the IEC POWER CORD into a Grounded Power Outlet. This IEC connector contains
the AC Mains fuse. This is a 20mm, T2.5A250V Fuse.
